Masque of the Red Death

The Masque of the Red Death is a short point in time written by Edgar Allan Poe using his gothic style. Poes point centers in a country devastated by a disgust called Red Death. There are only daemon main characters in the story, Prince Prospero and the mystic figure. Prince Prospero is the duke of the fictional country in the story. He is portrayed as a wealthy and princely man. He has no compassion for the needy and his fellow men. This is shown when the nausea terribly hit the country but no bewitch action was done by Prince Prospero to those who were greatly affected by the plague. He even arranged a masquerade swan for his friends and wealthy citizens. Prince Prospero loves his life and wealth so much, that he representative populi his treasures will surpass death and mortality. The dim figure in the story symbolizes the Red Death. The mysterious figure is lofty and gaunt and according to the narrator, he timbers like a corpse. His fancify and appearance resembles the grave. He is also described as someone who was infected with the disease that hit the country. He is in pretend of someone who wants to escape mortality. Of these two characters, I can take care that there is no particular character that gained my liking more than than the other.

I dont like Prince Prospero that much because I dont like his arrogant stead and his look of immortality. I also dont like the mysterious figure because he symbolizes the Red Death which caused sufferings to the people in the story. Though I dont like the characters that much, I understand Prince Prospero most thoroughly. I can understand that his perspective is caused by too much of his wealth and pleasures in life. H! e was blinded by the material things that the world offers and thus resulting to his teaching of his immortal self.
